Customer Relationship Manager responsibilities encompass the development and maintenance of revenue and relationships with end-user accounts including B2B and educational accounts in both K thru 12 and Higher Education and resellers, particularly channel partners/resellers, value-added resellers (VAR) and solution providers in the assigned accounts and/or territory. The CRM is expected to work closely with their respective Territory Account Director and other sales management teams in managing and developing their accounts/territory. The CRM must collaborate and coordinate with their manager and other customer support functions within the company to ensure proper account support, identified opportunities, and customer needs are met. CRMs take their direction by working closely with their regional Territory Account Director and the Vice President of Sales to define goals and execute strategies in their respective territories.


  • Responsible for building and maintaining profitable relationships with existing customers and developing new prospects in their specific territory.
  • Overseeing the relationships with all customers handled by your territory team.
  • Managing account activity to ensure goals and revenue targets are achieved on a consistent basis.
  • Keeping customers updated on the latest products, programs and promotions in order to increase territory sales.
  • Resolving customer complaints quickly and efficiently.
  • Setting up end user account touches either directly or with Channel Resellers, when applicable.
  • Engaging with third party partners to increase penetration in assigned territory or territory.
  • Setting up training events with accounts/resellers to ensure knowledge and grow awareness of products, programs, and services by their sales representatives.
  • Working with managers and the sales teams in the organization to plan strategically.
  • Working with managers to ensure you submit an accurate rolling 12-month forecast for the territory.
  • Providing timely communications with the operations team to ensure forecast demands are integrated into the overall demand planning forecast.
  • Maintaining and submit a weekly pipeline report of all large opportunities identified above and beyond normal run rate business.
  • Consistently provides competitive updates on products, promotions, pricing and services to sales management.
  • Support logistics for in territory trade shows and other onsite marketing activities in their territory.
  • Knowing your competition in the territory and markets and strategizing accordingly.
  • Participating in business reviews with management and customers quarterly.
  • Effectively using our CRM platforms to document all activities and sales strategies for your accounts.


Internal: All departments, field sales and sales management.

External: Relationships with key education and B2B market decision makers at existing customers and prospects in the assigned territory and with Channel Resellers that support these customers and prospects. Sales Reps from Channel Resellers involved in selling our products to all end-user markets.



A bachelor’s degree in business or a business-related field desirable.

A minimum of 3 years of similar experience preferably in the technology channel or similar industry.


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficient in all Microsoft and Google applications.

Proficient with a CRM platform. Zoho or a similar platform is desirable.

A team player with leadership skills.

A positive attitude focused on customer satisfaction.

This individual must be ambitious, and a self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.

Must demonstrate ability to be comfortable making a substantial number of calls, handle a high volume of accounts and maintain a continuing rigorous pace.
